Hi, I’m Fahan, founder of KAMMAC.

I’m a proud mother of six, a community organiser, an educator, and a lifelong lover of food made with heart.  

KAMMAC was born from a deep-rooted love for traditional Somali cooking and a desire to share the warmth of those flavours with kitchens around the world. Cooking has always been at the heart of my family; the laughter around the table, the passing down of recipes, and the joy of sharing a homemade meal with loved ones.

At KAMMAC, we focus on sourcing the finest spices and herbs to create rich, aromatic blends that bring the soul of Somali cooking into your home. Our signature Xawaash (or Xawaaji) spice mix is at the heart of it all. It’s the foundation of so many beloved Somali dishes.

Xawaash is more than just a spice blend … It's a story. A story of trade, migration, and connection, taking inspiration from the Indian subcontinent to the Arabian Peninsula and the Swahili coast. It's the essence that turns everyday ingredients into something extraordinary.
